Need office space at home? (Part 1)

So you need office space at home, perhaps you work from home, or you simply want a place to store paperwork and do your banking. However, you don’t want to give a whole room away to what can become a paperwork zone – if you’re not careful.

We suggest you have a multi-purpose room, this could be a study/quiet room, a study/library or even a study/play room – but this might work out more complicated… What we are going to propose is that you make the room a secret study. You do this by having screens to hide away the office.

Start by clearing the room completely, you then need to decide where best to have a built in desk, cupboards and filing cabinets plus anything else you might require. You could even have a built in cupboard to store away your office chair!

Once you have decided where this needs to be, you need to get this designed and installed. If you are feeling brave, perhaps try to DIY, if not get a professional in for the job. The material is up to you, whether you use MDF or wood or something else, it will all depend on how you want this to look and your budget.
